Lindsay and Mario (Fall 2010)

Here are some pics from Lindsay and Mario's Wedding......

Don't let the bride see this one!!

The boys having a little fun................................

And a little fun for the bride.....................................................

Here are a few formals.....the colours of the trees were beautiful in Northern Ontario for the first week of October - they could not have asked for a better day.

And for all the ladies out there, I just couldn't resist adding this photo!

Way long overdue update!!!

I am going to update pics from weddings last year as there were some amazing ones! looking forward to the spring and summer and being able to post new pics! I need some creative time soon ....all this office paperwork is getting to confining!!

This group was amazing! No complaints about anything I asked them to do ..... and they came up with some great ideas on thier own....the location was a strawberry farm in Sturgeon Falls, and it was an amazing location!

This old truck made a great backdrop for the "old world" sort of feel that the guys outfits had....

This is one of my favourite shots of this wedding..........I am sure you can see why.......

Prior to the reception, and while we were taking the photos, the guests enjoyed some old fashioned carnival games, complete with minnow races! It was a total hit with the guests who were quite happy with having something fun to do while waiting! here are pics of the bridal party enjoying thier games!

Wow! It has been a long time since my last post.....The last few months have seen many changes to my life, including taking a job in Southern Ontario as an Operations Manager for a Safety Company, and ridding myself of various aspects of my old life. With three kids and as a single mom it has been a wild and truly amazing ride!

I have been doing a little photography here and there and finally have a studio set up in my new house. It is not as big as the old studio but it will accomodate babies and children. Everything else will have to be done on location. I have a couple girls in the area who want to do Trash the Dress, and I think my first may invlove a trip to Chinatown to do some shootin down there. The colours and atmosphere are amazing! Other ideas are a really neat "pencil" style waterfall not to far from here......that is until I locate a junk yard or an area with lots of graffiti! Still looking for lady to do a trash the dress with horses or on horseback........

Speaking of horses, going to go see a potential part lease this weekend.....I wish I had the time to devote to riding full time, but that is not going to happen for a few years at least, however, I seem to have 2 little ladies who really want to start riding.....to bad lesson programs won't take them untill the age of 7.

I will post more photos soon, and promise to update on a more regular basis!

Oh Wow.......Busy, Busy, Busy

Well this summer has been super crazy......and as a result I have put up next to nothing, so over the next two weeks I am going to add as much as I can....starting with my the shoot of my girls that I did a couple of days ago...........

This one loves to pose.......and the jean dress here just went beautifully with the grasses........

And then her sister took a few shots too.....she wants to be a model when she grows up........and I think that she may have the look.......

The following photos are of her in a dress that I wore to my aunts wedding as a child........

And the Summer Wedding Season Arrives......

June 6th, 2009 marked the start of my first "crazy" wedding season! By this I mean that I have no Saturdays off until September 26th. Not that I am complaining, it is wonderful. Christine and Darcy tied the knot at a beautiful old church, spent the afternoon taking a wide range of photos with me and had an amazing reception......complete with a talented chef who put on quite a show!

Christine had an amazing dress......look for another blog with her in it soon as she and her new hubby have volunteered to model at some local mine sites for me!

The day was pretty much perfect! Some sun, some clouds, tonnes of blackflies......which we swatted away in between shots.....hey you have to love Northern Ontario!

The church was beautiful......high arched ceilings, detailed murals, statues, stonework, even the tiles floors spoke to the many years that this structure has been here. The comment "they sure don't make them like they used too" would apply here for sure. There is no comparison with the other local French Catholic Church.........

This is a shot I love to do of the bride's engagement ring in her flowers.......

Here's the aisle shot showing off the bride and groom.....and the neat floor in the church.........

They were not too sure when I was setting up this shot.......but it worked out well........

And this is one of my favourite shots of the entire wedding day..........

Boudoir and Pin-up Photos

Well I am caving in to the demand for boudoir and pin-up style photography. A friend pointed out the Varga style pin up photos and I really like the look of them, so I talked one of my best friends into being a model for me, and here are a few of the results.

We started out with some pin up style shots......the red polka dot dress being a good choice to start out with!
I'm learning that a sense of humour is good for this type of photography....., but she was a great model .....willing to try new things and coming up with ideas for what she liked and thought looked good....

This next shot was an excercise in balance, as the stool was a wee bit wobbly.......

And this last image is one of my favourites of the day........

First New Studio Session

Wow, I have not been on here for a while.....Have a new studio, which is still being set up! However, it has double the space, and proper heat for the winter, which will be nice for all the babies that I currently photograph.
My first real session in the studio was Diane, who is pursuing petite modelling. I am loving the new studio more and more as I finally have room for different backdrops and props.
We started out in studio, and then moved outside to try and find a few interesting "urbanish" backgrounds. Here are the results......or at least what i edited quickly.......

We tried on a few hats......

And then we headed outside to see what locations we could find for some really neat shots......

This was taken on the steps of an old hotel.....she was sitting on broken glass, but everything went well...

And around the back of the hotel....

This was taken in a little alcove behind the old hotel, which is rumored to be haunted, so it was a bit spooky when there were noises coming from the building.....
